cross country Scholarships

Cross country is closely related to Track & Field, and runners will be expected to participate in the long-distance events for the Track and Field team. The best way for Cross Country Runners to verify their ability, is to video record themselves running excellent 5km and 10km times on the track.

There are over 730 men’s Cross Country teams and 800 women’s teams, throughout the USA University athletic setup.

In order to win a full scholarship, athletes need to ensure their times and academics are excellent. With a good Grade Point Average (GPA) and a strong SAT, your chances of winning academic aid, in combination with your athletic scholarship, will be significantly increased.

Universities in the Western and Southern regions of the USA will compete all year round; while, colleges in the Northeast and Midwest are not able to play all year due to the harsh winters. Institutions in these areas will have high-tech indoor facilities, equipped with the best technologies to simulate real-life conNCAA Division 1 (D1) women receive an average of 18 full scholarships per team, compared to 12.6 full scholarships for men. NCAA Division 2 (D2) university men and women’s cross country scholarships allow 12.6 scholarships per team.
